Virtual Event: Time Smart

How to reclaim your time and live a happier life

“You can do so much in 10 minutes’ time. Ten minutes, once gone, are gone for good. Divide your life into 10-minute units and sacrifice as few of them as possible in meaningless activity.” - Ingvar Kamprad, Founder, IKEA

Happier people, research clearly shows, are ones who value time over money. They are also healthier and more productive. But we still focus on money because we underestimate the value of our time.
In her new book Time Smart: How to Reclaim Your Time and Live a Happier Life Harvard Business School professor Ashley Whillans presents strategies for improving our ‘time affluence.’

On 28 October, Ashley will join us to share her research on time, money and its impact on our well-being – to help us think differently about how we spend our days.
Her very practical advice will help us make the shift to time-smart living.

During the webinar Ashley will focus on the corrosive problem of time poverty, how to identify and deal with common time traps, and how we can find ways to free ourselves from them. We will also have time to address audience questions to help us reframe our own decisions and make happier choices.

Ashley Whillans is an assistant professor at Harvard Business School and a leading voice in time and happiness research. Whillans has worked with groups as diverse as consulting firms, couples, the US military, and women managing vegetable stands in Kenya. Her research has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, BBC, the Atlantic, and the Economist.
