• Anders Wolff

    Professor, DTU-bioengineering

Dr Anders Wolff received his MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 1993 and he received his PhD in Biochemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology (Delft, The Netherlands) in Dec. 1997 and joined DTU Nanotech, DTU, Lyngby, Denmark) in Feb 1998. In January 2019, Anders was transferred to DTU Bioengineering where he obtained a professor in Bio- and Nanobased lab-on-chip technologies in June 2019.
Key research topics. Anders research has focused on the following areas:
    •    Point of care (POC) technologies for detecting and analyzing microorganisms in medical diagnostic, treatment, and monitoring, in veterinary applications, in food safety, and in environmental monitoring
    •    Development of industrially-relevant processes for fabricating microfluidic chips/cartridges (micro injection moulding), for bonding (micro ultra-sonic welding) and for detection (integrated optics)
    •    Injection-moulded, polymer-based lab-on-a-chip devices for integrated sample preparation and PCR-based or LAMP-based DNA/RNA detection.
    •    Application of microfabricated structures to optimize growth, nutrient delivery, and waste removal in three-dimensional perfused channel network for cellular cultures
