Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota followed by combined Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency and Veterinary Medicine PhD program. Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, 1993, PhD same year. Post doc at The Platelet Research Laboratory, School of Medicine, University of Minnesota. Worked for six years with research within hemostasis, thrombosis and atherosclerosis at Novo Nordisk A/S. From 2000 The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University and since 2007 full professor Small Animal Clinical Oncology. Past Chair Danish Research Council for Technology and Production. Currently Section Head, Medicine, Oncology and Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Director ECVIM- oncology residency program. Head of studies, Master Companion Animal Clinical Sciences. Clinical and research interests: Clinical and comparative companion animal research, especially diagnostic, pathogenetic, and therapeutic aspects of hemostasis, thrombosis, inflammation and cancer.
