In 2010, I received the Master of Science (MSc) degree in Veterinary Science with emphasis on Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics, from the Utrecht University, The Netherlands. In 2013, I received the PhD degree in Veterinary Epidemiology at the Department of Large Animal Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, with the entitled thesis “Evaluation of risk-based meat inspection for bovine cysticercosis and bovine tuberculosis in Denmark”. Then I was employed as an epidemiologist at Avia-GIS, Zoersel, Belgium. I provided support to the on-going research and consultancy projects. In 2016, I started a Post-Doc position at the National Veterinary Institute of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) - Division for Diagnostics & Scientific Advice - Epidemiology. My work was part of a project to underpin decisions towards a strategy to control livestock associated LA-MRSA and limit its spread to humans. I have worked with risk analysis, epidemiology, disease control, prevention, and surveillance, geographical information systems, etc. I have published four peer-reviewed articles in international scientific journals as first author, and two as co-author. I have experience with presenting my work in international conferences and scientific meetings.

Currently, I am employed at the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (Fødevarestyrelsen) as a Veterinary Officer, where I am applying different methods on epidemiology, risk assessment, biostatistics and geographical information systems within the Animal Health Unit.
