    • 13:50 - 14:20 Keynote: The Energy Transition in the North Sea
There is no doubt that CCS is necessary to achieve both Denmark's and the world's short- and long-term climate goals. We need to pull CO2 out of the atmosphere to meet the Paris Agreement. Denmark can be among the leaders in the industrialization of CCS, and this requires close public-private cooperation and in the value chains.

At the same time, we must use large amounts of renewable energy and harvest the North Sea's offshore wind resources and energy islands. It will be crucial for a green Denmark and Europe's supply of electricity, PtX, and hydrogen.
