Agile Management

Workshop 2: Agile leadership
An unstoppable revolution is now under way in our society, affecting almost everyone. The revolution is very simple. Today, organizations are connecting everyone and everything, everywhere, all the time. Knowledge is being shared on the fly. What has become possible is now increasingly necessary. With this breakthrough approach, even large firms and giant public-sector organizations are learning how to act entrepreneurially and to hardwire innovation into their DNA. Their future depends on it.
Drawing on his new book, The Age of Agile (Amacom, February 2018) Steve Denning will explain how the Agile management revolution is about working smarter, not harder, and achieving more value from less work. It began emerging many decades ago, but took off in the software development industry in the last 15 years. Sparking dramatic improvements in quality, innovation, and speed to delivering value, the Agile movement is now spreading quickly, throughout all kinds of organizations. It enables a team, a unit, and an entire organization to nimbly adapt and upgrade products and services to meet rapidly changing technology and end-user needs.
The session will cover the three laws of Agile management (team, customer, network); embracing the Agile mindset; overcoming constraints; and making the entire organization Agile.
