1 Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to every person registering as a participant (hereafter referred to as “Participant”) for the „6th International Conference on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete“, to be held in Potsdam, Germany from September 04-06, 2018 (hereafter referred to as “the Conference”), organised by the Verband Bauen in Weiss e.V. and Bundesverband Porenbetonindustrie e.V. (hereafter referred to as “the Conference Organisers").
1.1 Contractual object
The Conference Organisers arrange the „6th International Conference on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete“, a three (3)-day seminar including training courses and social events. Participants are allowed to take an escort, who can take part at the social events, but not at the training courses. Experts on autoclaved aerated concrete and cooperations partners will present the results of current research. At the end of the conference all contributions will be available online.
1.2 Participation fee
Participation fee for regular Participants is 300,00.- EUR (excl. VAT, until April 30, 2018) and 450,00.- EUR (excl. VAT, as of May 1, 2018) per person and includes attendance at the conference sessions incl. coffee breaks and lunch and a Conference Dinner on the second evening incl. drinks and refreshments. For students there is a reduced fee of 125,00.- EUR (excl. VAT, until April 30, 2018) / 200,00.- EUR (excl. VAT, as of May 1, 2018). Participation fee of the Get-Together is 30.00,- EUR: Participation fee for daily registrations is 200,00.- EUR. Participation fee for escorts is 65,00.- EUR per person for the Conference Dinner and 30,00.- EUR for the Get-Together.
Unless agreed otherwise, travel and accommodation expenses are not included.
Participation fees have to be settled within 7 days after invoice receipt (registration).
If the payment is not received before the conference opening, attendance is not possible.
Registrations for the Conference must be made through the website http://www.6ICAAC.com and will be considered in the order of their receipt. Confirmation of the registration will be sent to the Participant as an e-mail automatically. There is no entitlement to registration or participation.
1.4 Consumer´s right of revocation
As a private consumer Participants have the right to revoke all contracts (registrations, orders etc.) closed with the Conference Organisers within fourteen (14) days without stating reasons.
The period of withdrawal is fourteen (14) days starting on the day the contract is closed.
To exercise Participant´s right of withdrawal, Participant have to inform the Conference Organisers (Verband Bauen in Weiß e.V., Hohes Steinfeld 1, 14797 Kloster Lehnin, Germany, e-mail: 6ICAACemail@example.com) by issuing a clear statement (e.g. letter sent by letter post or E-mail) of Participant´s decision to withdraw from the contract closed with Conference Organiser.
In order to preserve the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that the notification of the execution of Participant´s right of withdrawal be dispatched prior to the expiry of the withdrawal period.
In the case that Participant withdraw from this contract, the Conference Organisers shall reimburse all payments received from Participant without delay and at the latest within fourteen (14) days starting on the day on which the Conference Organisers received the notification of Particpiant´s withdrawal from the contract. For this reimbursement the Conference Organisers shall use the same payment method that Participant used for the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed; in any event, no fees shall be charged to Participant for said reimbursement.
Should participant have requested that services begin during the withdrawal period, participant shall pay the Conference Organisers an appropriate amount in proportion to the extent of the services already provided up until the time of informing us that partcipant intend to exercise participant´s right of withdrawal with respect to the closed contract in comparison with the full scope of the services provided for in the contract.
1.5 Payment and Invoicing
Participation fee can be payed by using the online payment (Visa, Master Card) when registering for the Conference. Online payments are made on an encrypted page, so that no one can access participant´s data. After the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful.
The alternative is a bank transfer. See below the detailed bank information. As soon as the participation fee is payed, participant will receive a written confirmation and an invoice. All payments are done in Euro.

1.6 Cancellation of the Conference, Modification of the programme
In the event that the Conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the Conference Organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the Conference Organisers, the Conference Organisers cannot be held liable by participants for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses, etc.
Under these circumstances, the Conference Organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to credit it for a future conference, or to reimburse the participant after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.
The Conference Organisers reserve the right to modify the programme. No refunds can be granted in case of cancellation of speakers, lack of space in the conference room or any other incidents during the Conference which are beyond the control of the Conference Organisers.
1.7 Cancellation Policy
Substitutions of delegates may be made at any time. Cancellations and changes should be made in writing and will be confirmed by the organiser.
Where the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person, then the following refund arrangements apply: Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80 percent of the registration fees. Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50 percent of the registration fees. Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund. Any fee refunded will be paid after the conference.
1.8 Limitation of Liability
The participant agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Conference Organiser and its agents from all claims or losses arising from the participant's presence at the Conference. This includes losses suffered by other participants at the Conference as a result of the participant's negligence, as well as damage to property or person arising from the actions of the participant or his/her spouse, accompanying person. The participant agrees to be responsible for all property he or she brings to the Conference venue. Conference Organisers´liability in cases of contributory negligence remains unaffected.
For the purposes of this paragraph, the Conference Organizer's "agents" includes: the Conference Organizer's staff, volunteers, directors and officers; the owner and manager of the Conference venue and their staff; and any contractors engaged by the Conference Organizer or by the owner and manager of the Conference venue.
The liability of the Conference Organizers – for whatever legal reason – shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this.
Any documents that are handed out are under copyright and are only intended for personal use. No permission is given for the reproduction, dissemination, processing or public presentation of any kind, and such permission must be obtained from Conference Organisers in writing. Neither are participants permitted to make sound or video recordings of the event.
1.10 Final provisions
German law is applicable.
The inefficacy of a determination of this terms and conditions shall not result in the inefficacy of the entire terms and conditions.
