Tranemo Textil AB was founded in 1934 and was partly started to create employment for women to work in the town of Tranemo. In the early years it was mainly trousers that were made, but with time production moved on to concentrate on heavy-duty garments and field uniforms for the army. Tranemo Textil AB continue to have a long and solid experience in the clothing industry.
Today, the third generation is taking the company further and the business is totally focussed on developing and manufacturing Workwear and protective clothing under the name TRANEMO WORKWEAR. The Group, consisting of subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Finland and Norway, together are creating one of Europe?s strongest sales organisations. The Head Office and European logistics centre is located in Tranemo, Sweden and the Group distributes more than 600,000 garments annually to customers throughout Europe.
A large part of manufacturing takes place in our own production unit in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where we employ over 200 seamstresses and production personnel. Thanks to our broad experience of textiles and our robust quality system, we are always sure that our products are manufactured to the highest quality.
