Jakob Thomasen is an independent advisor with experience in transformational safety, performance improvement and enterprise risk management.

Jakob Thomasen was CEO of Maersk Oil from 2009 to 2016 with 29 years of experience from Maersk Oil.

He is member of several boards, and he is currently the chairman of 5 boards.

He has studied business at IMD, Harvard, Standford and Insead. He holds a Master of Science from University of Copenhagen.

  As a former oil business executive with now almost three years at the side-lines of the industry, Jakob Thomasen will reflect on what is next in future safety of the oil industry. Jakob’s views will be fueled by his 32 years in the oil industry as well as solid engagement in other businesses over the last few years.

  At TFZ 2019 we will engage together in the experience of growing our safety leadership. We will do this through crowd sourcing questions from you. Each of the three conference engagement sessions will be based on your submitted questions. With the Slido Q&A platform you will have the opportunity to provide questions for steering the conversations. When you have submitted a question our moderator will have it in his pool of questions to aid the conversation.

  As further ways of us engaging together, we will have an open poll in which you can submit those words and key takeaways which are top of your mind from presentations and engagement sessions.
