About Zealand Surgical Forum

Last year we had the great pleasure to host a symposium focusing on the different approaches for treatment of patients with rectal cancer. There was a broad multidisciplinary attendance from surgeons, oncologist, radiologists and pathologist from around the world. We enjoyed a lively debate with a focus on both technical aspects of the different approaches and at the same time had a discussion on the future and development of this surgical field. Based on the increasing complexity of treating patients with colon cancer through the last couple of years, we would like to invite You to an exciting day where we will discuss and evaluate technical aspects on minimally invasive colon cancer surgery. This will be through state of the art lectures focusing on the different approaches going from multivisceral surgery in patients with advanced colonic cancer to local full thickness endoscopic resections in patients with small lesions. There will be three live parallel sessions: robotic CME surgery for right sided colon cancer with intracorporeal anastomosis, laparoscopic left sided CME surgery and combined endoscopic laparoscopic surgery in a patient with early cancer or large adenoma. We also have the great pleasure to invite you to several state of the art lectures with focus on pathological, oncological and radiological aspects of colon cancer surgery. We are looking forward to reach an understanding of the complexity of the topic and at the same time hope the forum to be a place for inspiration of future development in the treatment of the patient with colon cancer.

On behalf of the Zealand Surgical Forum we look forward to personally welcoming you to Copenhagen this spring.
