Chris Bath
BPTWArchitect and Urban Designer Chris Bath is a Partner at BPTW, an architectural and planning consultancy firm with studios in London and the Midlands. Chris leads on many significant projects, including new build residential developments, regeneration schemes and mixed-use masterplanning projects. With placemaking at the heart of his work, he has been responsible for leading BPTW’s successful expansion in Kent with projects including the regeneration of Chatham Dockyard, and a new 532 home masterplan at Harbour Village within the Ebbsfleet Garden City. He is also leading BPTW’s work at the award winning Rochester Riverside, a 656 home, mixed-use regeneration scheme as part of a wider masterplan in Medway, created with locally inspired architecture and an extensive public realm. Earlier this year, Rochester Riverside Phase 1B was crowned the ‘Winner of Winners’ at the Housing Design Awards, having also picked up the ‘Building for a Healthy Life’ award. The scheme has also been recognised for its exemplar community consultation programme where Chris and the team used innovative techniques to garner support from local residents and stakeholders including focused member walkarounds and the use of Virtual Reality goggles to enable the community to immerse themselves in the emerging development proposals.
