    Minister for Energy, Utilities and Climate

    Lars Christian Lilleholt was appointed minister in june 2015 in the second Lars Løkke Rasmussen administration following the 2015 Danish general elections.

    The minister holds an impressive political career; he has been a regular member of parliament since 2001. The minister served as a spokesman on energy and climate for the Liberal Party from 2005-2015. He is a Former member of the Climate, Energy and Building Committee, Transport Committee and The Standing Orders Committee. He was Clerk of Parliament from 2011-2015. Member of the management committee of the parliamentary group of the Liberal Party 2008-2015 and secretary of the parliamentary group 2011-2015.

    The minister studied at the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus, from 1989 to 1993 and studied economics and social science at Odense University, from 1985 to 1988. He has worked as a journalist, a sub-editor, a public relations assistant and as head of public relations.
