• René Hinsch

    CTO – Wireless Technologies, Airwire

René Hinsch is a networking industry veteran. He was in the early 90’s working for Case Technology - a Danish HW/SW networking vendor – which in 1997 was acquired by Intel. Focusing on EMEA and APAC he was here heading up Intel’s initiative to boost the wired networking speed by the use Gigabit Ethernet technology. After the success of this mission Intel decided to the leave the wired network business. At that time Wi-Fi was a new interesting but still immature technology. Foreseeing a growing demand for LAN based wireless data communication René Hinsch in 2003 founded Airwire that focuses solely on Wi-Fi and its solutions, tools and consulting. A company where he is still active today. René Hinsch is holding several wireless networking industry certifications.

    His presentation is about:
    Seeing is believing:
What does a live Wi-Fi network spectrum look like. Radio is considered a physical media just like an Ethernet cable is. This short demo will show you how Wi-Fi behaves in the radio frequency spectrums in a large public venue. You will get an understanding of how and why the spectrum cleanness and channel reuse plays an important role. With audience participation we will be able to see what happens if we put maximum load on the network.
