    Bio: Anthea Bott is the manager of R&D Insights and Machine Learning at GN Hearing. She holds a PhD in Audiology from the University of Queensland and has worked with big data at GN Hearing for the past two years. She brings the clinical perspective to the insights and Machine Learning team.

    This session will discuss the types of data collected at GN Hearing, the infrastructure used to store and analyze bigdata, how the data is being leveraged to improve product development, and the ethical considerations faced within GN Hearing, specific to the machine learning team.

      Application of big-data and AI at GN Hearing. The collection and use of big data is a growing area at GN Hearing allowing us to gather objective information on our products and how they are being used. Analyzing this data directly influences next generation products and creates a greater understanding of our users and their needs. However, we must also consider the ethical application of AI and big data. This session will discuss the types of data we collect, the infrastructure used to store and analyze big data, what we are using big data for, and finally, the ethical considerations that we face in GN Hearing, specific to the machine learning team.
