Title of presentation:
Communication and computation challenges from RES data
Abstract of presentation:
The introduction of massive production from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) has a significant impact in respective data analysis tasks. In this presentation we outline the scaling of communication and computation requirements as a function of the involved assets and the provided services. We base our investigation on the vast collection of data hosted by INACCESS’ UNITY platform. The platform collects more than 0.5Billion data values per day, whereas advanced services necessitate data fusion and fast feedback to decentralized control points. Thus, data streaming requirements, computation time, and network latency are of paramount importance for their implementation.
