    JSN is Master of Science, Industrial Engineering from DTU and started his career in Siemens as head of production Tech, head of lean and other positions. He is presently Team Leader of Digitalisation in Siemens Gamesa.

    Title of presentation:
    How can we get real time streaming data from our inspection cameras in the windturbine wings?

    Abstract of presentation:
    Moulding of off-shore windturbine wings is a complicated process where bats of glass fiber has to be positioned correctly before the moulding process starts. The process is supervised by a lot of cameras which today are connected to the inspection center by cables. In the IIoT project we investigate if these cables could be replaced by 5G.

      Reliable and real time wireless connectivity is crucial for all Industry 4.0 solutions, e.g. for (remote) control of production, including cobots, mobile robots and drones. With 5G the companies can combine (virtual) private networks with edge computing and thereby deliver better and more secure performance. Aalborg University hosts a 5G Smart Production Lab, and SDU and DTU have similar facilities. The session will present the newest experiences and results from these labs.
