      Bio:  Mayur examines the phenomenon of organizing for- and in- the digital age with a focus on data science, AI-enabled analytics tools, and other digital innovations in the context of financial and information technology industries. His research has been published in MIT Sloan Management Review and Cambridge Handbook of Digital Qualitative Research.   Title of presentation:  Data Science enabled Decision-making in Bureaucratic Organizations   Abstract of presentation:  Data scientists working in bureaucratic organizations do not only need to offer valuable insights but also need to ensure consumption of those insights in decision-making by the internal clients. These workplace dynamics impose paradoxical tensions on data scientists' ability to facilitate decision-making, which they circumvent on some occasions.
