    Bio: 

    Kasper holds a Ph.D. in strategic design of digital business models and has worked with strategic transformation of JP/Politikens Hus’ news brands for roughly 10 years. Currently, Kasper is responsible for developing responsible and effective AI systems for news, as head of research and innovation at Ekstra Bladet, PM of Platform Intelligence in News and postdoc at CBS (MSC)

    Abstract of presentation: 

    Kasper will introduce the aims and means of Platform Intelligence in News (PIN). PIN is an applied research project that aims to develop AI-systems for news media that is aligned with their values and independent of the tech giants. The project is carried out in collaboration between Ekstra Bladet in JP/Politikens Hus and research departments at DTU, UCPH and CBS.

      Technological developments challenge traditional news media and open up new possibilities of public engagement. This session introduces current research into the technological shaping of production and consumption of news as well as citizens’ participation in public debate. On this basis, we discuss the future of the news media and its societal and business implications.
