Bio:  PhD, Senior Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Media and Innovation at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.   Title of presentation:  Innovation in the digital media industries   Abstract of presentation:  “Data” is central to much development and innovation in the media industries. However, what exactly data is, how it is captured and understood, and how it is used differs across and within media organizations. In this presentation, I discuss how the media industries use data to drive development and innovation – and where the limits are to what data can do.
