Danmark/Pakistan IT Entrepreneur Forum strengthens Tech collaboration between Denmark/Pakistan
Together with the morning coffee on Tuesday 30 November at 8.30, a delegation of nine Pakistani IT companies is ready to welcome Danish companies in Øksnehallen at the Digital Tech Summit in Copenhagen. This is the first time that a delegation from Pakistani IT companies is visiting Denmark to show what the country's IT industry has to offer.
In order to redeem the potential for collaboration and ensure IT talents for the Confederation of Danish Industries, DPEF has initiated a delegation visit from the IT industry in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Export Board (PSEB) and the Pakistan Embassy Denmark. Pakistan has long been one of the spirating economies in south-East Asia with a huge and young population of more than 220 million people, where more than half are under 30 years of age. This turns Pakistan into the five largest population-rich country in the world. With a GDP growth rate of just over 4% – though in the well-established Asian neighbouring markets – Pakistan represents the new IT growth Comet in the class. Denmark's ambition is to be the best start-up country in the world. Denmark is well-known for its entrepreneurship and start-up culture. At the same time, the digitisation possibilities have opened up for a brand new IT growth market in Pakistan, which can benefit from Denmark being an ambitious innovation and the country with tried-and-tested concepts and solutions. Denmark therefore has a unique opportunity to be a role model and, with its experience, will influence Pakistan's future digital IT growth journey.
Win-win for both countries
There is a win-win relationship in Denmark facilitating Pakistan to learn to use Danish innovation models and concepts and support the country in its digitisation journey. This sets the parameters for mutual growth between Denmark/Pakistan and a new opportunity for Danish entrepreneurship to go on an exciting growth journey with Pakistani IT resources. Denmark can benefit from Pakistan's inexpensive infrastructure and the huge unsaturated Pakistani market, which can be a bridge-builder to the rest of the Asian region for the Danish Industries. In particular, digitisation, green energy, sustainability solutions in Healthtech and agriculture have good synergy effects.
