Grøn Sky's platform: CopenCloud, offers climate-friendly data storage in the cloud. The platform is built from the ground up in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and utilises, among other things, the options for archive data storage (Long-term storage), which provide a direct and measurable reduction in power consumption and thus CO2 emissions. Right from the start, the development of the platform has been optimised to reduce power consumption. The platform also includes a reporting system, where users' actions are registered and converted into CO2 reports, both for the entire platform, for all of a customer's users and for the individual user. The platform has high usability with an easily recognizable pathfinder structure, and a function that suggests moving files that remain unused for 30 days to Long-term storage. With this clean-up function, we want to nudge the user to store data in a more climate-friendly way.
