Kjell Hansteen
Hansteen Consulting AS NorwayKjell Hansteen is an expert advisor on European public sector electronic identity (eID) and management of international ICT projects. He worked at the European Commission from 2006 to 2011 with large scale projects for European cross border public services. That led to first-hand expertise on European cross border use of public eID, electronic signatures and public registers. It also gave him a unique network of contacts and personal relations across Europe. His personal network and expertise have been maintained and developed further in recent work. Kjell has worked closely with several CIP large scale pilots; STORK, PEPPOL, SPOCS and ECRN in his period at the European Commission. He has since his return to Norway, been involved in the mobilization of Norwegian project partners for e-SENS and CIP projects more generally. Kjell is currently assigned by the Norwegian Agency for public Management and eGovernment (Difi), to a feasibility study on the authentication of foreign electronic identities for Norwegian eGovernment services. Kjell Hansteen has wide-ranging work experience from private as well as public sector. He has worked for telecom and computer industry in France, Belgium and Norway. He has worked for public administrations in Norway and the EU. He communicates fluently in English and French plus the Scandinavian languages. Specialties: European eID management and policy.
