Days of Knowledge
The two-day conference offers a combination of keynote presentations, training sessions and townhall Q&A’s – all with Business Central and related products as the main topic.
Who is behind the conference?
Days of Knowledge 2019 is supported by different Danish partners and communities in the industry. As such, RelateIT, NORRIQ, C2IT, NAV-Vision, Abakion, BDL, E Foqus and Dynamics User Group are all backing the conference. The DOK19 conference is also powered by Directions D365.
Why should you participate?
The purpose of Days of Knowledge is to host a local conference for the Nordic countries. Inviting the world’s leading industry experts, the conference offers priceless knowledge about the latest developments within Dynamics 365 Business Central and the surrounding products for consultants, developers and related employees in the Dynamics 365 BC world.
How does the way forward look from where we are? Did we learn from our previous successes and failures? Is life as we knew it ending or merely changing?
In this session we will discuss the effects of the latest technological shift, comparing the past to the present and the potential future.
Remaining competitive in the manufacturing and logistics business means delivering value to end-customers every day. Some of the challenges are: being able to plan and manage your production and logistics process efficiently - in real-time - more visibility and control over inventory, reduction of operational costs - and improved information to end-customers.
The NAVEKSA products/apps suite for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central address these challenges. You will get an introduction to the NAVEKSA product suite, see a demo, and of course get the opportunity to ask questions. See what can be achieved with CadConnect, ShopFloor, ItemPlanning and MakeToOrder.
This session is going to handle practical approaches on:
- How we converted our product to apps
- How we handle customizations in the new world of extensions
- How we organized our team in terms of CI/CD
- Which design patterns we apply
With Prophix you can automate key financial processes while creating greater insight to the performance of the company. Process like budgeting and planning is turned in to a collaborate process with the possibilities to collect data from different stakeholders. The ability to work on different scenarios across the organization optimizes the forecasting accuracy.
We guide you to understand the differences on licenses for on-prem, cloud, premium and team members. We will also cover reselling ISV solutions and how to deal with AppSource extensions.
In this session, we will show you how to use mobile apps in sales and service processes and how you save valuable time with electronic data interchange (EDI) for invoices, orders, etc.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central have been available on Docker running Windows Containers for quite some time now. This session will cover some common usecases and how these can be achieved with Docker. The session will not cover the basics of Docker, but will cover some common pitfalls people run into when trying to use NAV or Business Central containers
During this session you will learn how you can provide valuable insight and reporting to your customers based on user friendly tools and platforms, that brings rapid time-to-value through turnkey installation in hours.
We will demonstrate how your customers, with a low cost of ownership, can start using Power BI in just 5 minutes with Jet Analytics. You will also experience how customers can slice and dice all their valuable historic data without running a painless data migration during an upgrade project.
Or you can just drop by and get ready to talk to your customers about:
Jet Analytics – Get analytics and Power BI instantly
Jet Reports – Cut reporting time and costs
Jet Budgets – Control the budgeting process
Jet Hub – Never second guess your data again
This session walks you through our experience and conclusions about what to do. It includes the following:
- When and why to migrate – developing on the bleeding edge or not?
- Process – what to refactor before or after the conversion to al.
- What to expect after the conversion to al – what will work?
- What to do with .net components:
- Using .net on Business Central OnPrem.
- Choosing an alternative to .net when moving to Business Central Cloud (built-in al-libraries, Azure Functions, Azure App’s, etc.).
- What to do with CaptionML?
- Best practices when working with al in Visual Studio code.
We will show how this was done using the Azure IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, Blob Storage and Azure Functions. We will also bring the Robot and show you a live demo.
The talk will also demonstrate how Power BI can access the streaming data from the robot.
